Choosing a career at a young age can be daunting. Falling into recruitment after higher education was great for me because every day in recruitment is different, making it an exciting career choice. Starting as an apprentice 5 years ago I am now a senior member of staff, a workplace where age doesn’t hold you back.

I feel fortunate to help the business grow to where it is now, including supplying new sectors of the construction market. A lot has changed in the past 3 years; staff headcount has increased by over 50%; we have moved to a new, high quality finished office in the centre of Ipswich; amongst many other things. There is real momentum and support at Clearfield to keep this progression going and I would highly recommend a career with us, whether you are an experienced recruiter, or someone new to the industry!

I started at Clearfield a year ago after becoming disillusioned at a global plc, and haven’t looked back. The autonomy I’m given to run my section of the business has delivered great results and together we’ve built something I’m incredibly proud of, not only from a performance perspective but we’ve got a great bunch in the permanent appointments team. I was attracted to Clearfield initially as it’s an impressive brand in the local construction market, a reputation that’s still growing both further afield and at home in Suffolk. Clearfield really is a fantastic place to work.

Since joining Clearfield in 2013 the company has grown significantly, however this hasn’t changed the feel of our closely knit team. We have an energetic atmosphere and a great team culture which gives greater productivity therefore helps us all perform.

There is a real sense of team spirit amongst my colleagues, a fantastic management team that values our ideas and opinions and our hard work is not only recognised it is rewarded. I have been given Opportunities for continuous growth and I am excited to further my career here at Clearfield.
