Present Yourself for Success

Presentation is key in an interview, after all, isn’t that what you are doing? Presenting yourself to potential employers? Creating a great first impression in your interview is very much dictated by the way in which you outwardly present yourself.

Wear Appropriate Clothing

It may seem extremely obvious, but there is a very standard dress code that should be followed. For office positions, a full suit wherever possible is a great way to make a good impression. For male applicants, a shirt and tie are fairly standard practice, whilst female applicants should avoid heavy make up, too much jewellery, or excessively short skirts. No one should wear hats or sportswear to an interview unless explicitly told to do so.

Be Clean

Both you and your clothes need to be clean. Is that shirt a little ruffled? Iron it. Are those shoes a bit scuffed? Polish them.
