Job Description:

Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent construction company, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Slinger Signaller to join their team in Leiston, Suffolk. As a Slinger Signaller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of slinger equipment on the construction site. You will work in close coordination with the construction team to maintain a smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation: Operate slinger equipment, ensuring precise and controlled movements for the transportation of materials and machinery.

Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong commitment to safety, following all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Signalling: Communicate effectively with equipment operators using standardized hand signals to direct and guide them in their tasks.

Equipment Inspection: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of slinger equipment to ensure its proper functioning.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the construction team, including equipment operators and supervisors, to ensure the seamless flow of work.

Reporting: Document equipment operations, incidents, and issues, and report them to the site supervisor.

Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and site-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Slinger Signaller or a similar role in a construction environment.
Valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) certification for slinger signalling.
Knowledge of hand signalling protocols and effective communication with heavy equipment operators.
Strong commitment to safety and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
