Job Description:

Position Overview:
Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join their team for a significant project in Leiston, Suffolk. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, and technical aspects of the construction site, ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Planning: Collaborate with project managers and architects to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets.

Survey and Measurement: Conduct topographic surveys, monitor site levels, and establish reference points for accurate construction work.

Quality Control: Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and best practices.

Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues, including design changes and structural concerns.

Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, creating a culture of safety on the construction site.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including drawings, reports, progress updates, and change orders.

Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with subcontractors, architects, regulatory authorities, and project teams to facilitate effective communication and project progression.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional engineering license (PE) is preferred.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects.
Proficiency in construction management software and AutoCAD.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
