Job Description:
We are currently seeking a fully accredited Setting Out Engineer on behalf of our client. As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately marking out and surveying construction sites, ensuring that all works are completed in compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize surveying instruments and equipment to accurately set out and mark positions on construction sites.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure precise alignment and positioning of structures, foundations, utilities, and other elements.
• Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and ensure accurate implementation of design plans on-site.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine site conditions and inform setting out activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate setting out activities and ensure effective communication.
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and tolerances.
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in setting out, communicating with relevant parties to implement corrective measures.
• Monitor and report on progress, keeping accurate records and documentation of setting out activities.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Full accreditation with a recognized professional engineering institution
• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry.
• Proficient in using surveying instruments, equipment, and software.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and setting out techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in marking out and surveying.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• A valid driving license.
