Overview
Title: Groundworks Quantity Surveyor
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Job Summary: Clearfield Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and quantity control for groundworks projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of bills of quantities, cost plans, and estimates
Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
Providing cost advice and value engineering solutions
Monitoring project costs and budgets, and reporting any deviations
Identifying and managing risks
Negotiating and agreeing on contracts, variations, and final accounts
Preparing and submitting progress reports to senior management
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in groundworks quantity surveying
Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of relevant software
