Overview

My client is looking for a plant hire desk controller for a busy national company and will be responsible for arranging plant, tool and machinery hire to customers and construction companies.

The main responsibility of a plant hire desk controller is to deal with customer queries and orders in a professional manner.
The day-to-day duties of a plant hire desk controller include:
Responding to customer enquiries about plant, machinery and tool hire
Pro-actively promoting the company at all times
Developing professional relationships with internal and external clients
Maintaining and exceeding company targets
Setting up customer hire contracts
Negotiating costs and preparing invoices
General administration

You'll need previous experience of running a busy plant hire desk, the following skills are desirable:
Excellent customer service skills
Good maths knowledge
Ability to work well in a team
Highly organised and motivated
General administration skills.
