Job Summary:
Clearfield Recruitment is partnering with a reputable client to find an experienced Night Shift Painter & Decorator for a 2-week project in Weymouth, Dorset. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in painting and decorating, along with the ability to work independently during night hours. This role involves working diligently to ensure the interior and exterior surfaces are expertly painted and properly prepared, all while maintaining safety standards and adhering to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality painting and decorating tasks on various surfaces, both interior and exterior, as required.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring proper priming before painting.
• Execute detailed "making good" processes to repair and smooth surfaces as needed for optimal paint application.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Ensure accurate color mixing and matching to meet project specifications.
• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Work during night hours (16:30 - 02:00) to complete tasks with minimal disruption to regular business operations.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Collaborate with the team to coordinate work, report progress, and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a professional Painter & Decorator.
• Proficiency in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently during night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color matching and aesthetics.
• Own a comprehensive set of painting tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with various types of paint, varnish, and other finishes.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
