Job Description:

Position Overview:
Our client, a well-established construction company, is in need of a motivated and hardworking General Labourer to support their team in Ipswich, Suffolk. As a General Labourer, you will be a key contributor to the construction project, assisting with various tasks to ensure its successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Preparation: Assist in the setup and preparation of the construction site, including clearing debris, organizing materials, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Material Handling: Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed, and deliver them to the appropriate locations on the site.

Support Tradespeople: Assist skilled trades workers, such as carpenters and masons, with their tasks, which may include holding materials, operating tools, and performing simple construction tasks.

Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and incidents on the construction site.

Site Clean-Up: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the construction site by removing waste, debris, and hazardous materials.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment and tools.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the construction team and site supervisor to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a General Labourer in the construction industry is a plus.
Strong work ethic and a willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment is advantageous.
A commitment to safety and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
