Overview

Clearfield Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Labourer to start work on Monday 7th August 2023. This role will typically pay 10+ hours a day!

Position Overview:
As a Site Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the construction and maintenance activities on building sites. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for assisting various tradespeople and site managers in completing construction projects efficiently and safely. This role demands physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Preparation: Assist in setting up and preparing the construction site by clearing debris, organizing tools and materials, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Material Handling: Help in the movement, loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials and equipment to designated areas on the site.

Supporting Tradespeople: Provide assistance to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers, by fetching tools, holding materials, and performing simple tasks as directed.

Site Clean-Up: Conduct regular site clean-up, including sweeping, removing waste, and maintaining an organized workspace.

Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures on the construction site to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision after receiving proper training and authorization.

Communication: Maintain effective communication with site supervisors, tradespeople, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual labour and lifting.
• Basic knowledge of construction processes and tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic construction environment.
• Health and safety awareness to comply with site regulations and protocols.

Working Conditions:

• The Site Labourer role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Work hours may vary depending on the project and may include weekends and overtime.
• The position may require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and safety boots.
