Health and Safety Manager- Essex/London in Brentwood

Clearfield are working with an exceptional Commercial Scaffolding Company based in the Essex area, Established in the early 2000's they have gone from strength to strength and have gained an enviable reputation in and around London for providing a safe and quality driven service.
Job Description:
·Review and update the company's health and safety policies and procedures and ensure these are communicated throughout the company.
·Review and keep the company's accreditations up to date including all ISO documentation.
·Continue to promote a positive health and safety culture.
·Ensure the company complies with current legislation and regulations.
·Ensure Risk assessments and methods statements are carried out and communicated throughout the site teams.
·Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to assist the company in learning what went wrong and to stop a recurrence.
·Carry out monthly site audits to all our sites and issue the reports to the client and company directors.
·Lead monthly health and safety meetings, safety committee meetings.
·Attend client health and safety meetings.
·Review weekly scaffold inspection reports and liaise with the site managers to ensure they are closed out.
·Ensure all new operatives carry out a company induction and have the right tools and training to carry out their specific role.
·Review and update the company's training matrix ensuring operatives and directors know when competency cards are expiring.
What We are Looking For
·You must have 5 years' minimum experience (ideally scaffolding) managing health and safety. You will be solely managing the health and safety department with the continued support of the company directors.
·Must have a minimum of Nebosh General and construction certificate.
·You must be self-motivated and manage your own work.
·You will be asked to produce regular updates to the company directors and make them aware of any safety issues that arise.
·You must be ambitious, confident and have a good attitude that works well with our clients.
·Excellent written and communication skills.
·You must be well organised.

·Contract: Full time, Permanent based on successful completion of 6-month probation period.
