Consultancy Quantity Surveyor- Suffolk in Norwich

Overview

Clearfield are working in partnership with an integrated design and building consultancy based in the Norfolk area who are looking to expand the team and welcome on board a Quantity Surveyor.

Majority of the work is between Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex and mainly consists of residential projects.
As a Quantity Surveyor your role will involve the following:
·Reporting Arrangements and Main Contacts
·Preparing feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, cost plans, databases, tenders and other analyses and providing advice on the economics of design at the early stages of a project. Provide advice on and use of whole life costing techniques.
·To prepare high-quality tender documentation including Bills of Quantities, Schedule of Works and Contract Sum Analysis using computer techniques. Undertake pricing documentation before the tender period as and when required. Negotiating contract sums as necessary.
·Examination and analysis of tenders, preparing cost breakdowns and initial cost profiles. Negotiate contract sums as necessary.
·To control all post-contract procedures, make valuations for payments, produce financial reports and monitor actual and anticipated expenditures against the profile. Assisting Contract Administrators and the like in the preparation of AIs, evaluation of claims for extensions of time, etc.
·To prepare final accounts and agree with contractors including verifying claims, and dealing with audit procedures.

Salary:
·£55k-£65k Depending on experience.
