Commercial Manager in Southend

Overview

Fantastic opportunity to join a growing Principal Contractor based in Southend as a Managing QS/ Commercial Manager;

•6+ years' experience of multiple commercial sectors; Education / Leisure / Commercial/ Retail and occasional Residential and Mixed Use
•Mix of new build, extension, refurbishment and interiors work
•Bulk of projects located within Essex and East/ Central London
•Managing the QS team & x2 Estimators
•Prepare and review bills of quantities, bid/ tender documents, take offs, contracts, budgets, supplier agreements, and other documentation
•Analyse costs and carry out value engineering in line with legal standards and quality
•Minimise cost and risk of Projects
•Manage Variation and Change order control
•Support and liaise with the Contract Managers, Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers
•Client facing skills and experience necessary
•Strong interpersonal skills
•The roll is a combination of site and office-based working
•Experience of MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Zoom essential
•Highly motivated and used to working in faced paced environments
•Dynamic and problem-solving approach
•Reporting to the Director
•Full time (Mon - Fri), permanent, salaried position
•Genuine opportunity of future progression into Directorship
