Title: Lead Building Surveyor

Job Summary: A Lead Building Surveyor is responsible for inspecting buildings to ensure they meet legal and safety requirements, identifying any defects, and providing advice on repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Lead a team of building surveyors, providing direction, guidance, and support
• Delegate tasks and monitor the progress of surveying projects.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the team.
• Conducting building surveys and inspections to assess the condition of buildings and identifying any defects or safety issues
• Providing advice on repairs, maintenance, and renovation projects
• Preparing detailed reports on building surveys, including recommendations for repairs and maintenance
• Liaising with clients, architects, and contractors to discuss and advise on building issues
• Inspecting building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
• Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in building regulations and legislation

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Degree in building surveying, engineering, or a related field
• Professional accreditation with a recognized industry body
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Experience using building surveying software and tools
