What a year 2017 was for Clearfield, our staff, clients and candidates.

We were thrilled to have worked with over 200 clients during the year, offering trades and labour, contract management staff and permanent recruitment services.  Many of our clients are now drawing on our expertise for each of these key services – one of the aspects that has seen the business grow so strongly over the past few years.

Our repeat business levels are at an all-time high and with a continued focus on top tier client attraction our client list contains many of the main players in our chosen markets.  All in all, these dedicated and highly regarded clients have helped the business pass the £10m mark in sales revenue for the first time, a growth of 24% on 2016

Behind the scenes, a focus on developing our permanent recruitment service, as well as efficiency in our way of doing business, has increased margin in the year by 33%. By combining higher and lower margin workloads, we have created stability and a greater ability to invest in service development to our clients

We have welcomed some fantastic new staff members into the business over the past year, a mix of experienced industry professionals as well as young talent fresh into the workplace to go through our training programme.

Our Leeds based business has more than doubled in size and moved to larger premises during 2017, expanding our coverage of the North West. Expansions for the brand into the large and exciting markets of Facades and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Cooling) brilliantly complement our very strong Construction main and sub-contractor client base.

Looking forward to 2018 we are very excited about the launch of our Training Academy in the Spring, where we will be welcoming two waves of apprentices a year into the business to help us build up home grown talent and give something back to the areas where our established offices are.

“We remain committed to delivering great client service and creating exceptional opportunities for our staff – and from that we will create more happy customers and greater financial results over time.”  Commented, Dan Jarrold, Clearfield’s MD.  “2017 was brilliant, I am very proud of our staff and the dedication they bring to their clients and candidates, 2018 has started strong and looks even more exciting.”
